The event was held at the “St. Ivan Rilski” school, where the children had the opportunity to meet the founder of TinusaurNeven Boyanov personally, and he and his colleagues were able to delight the students and give them an exciting experience in the world of robotics.

The workshop was held in one of the specialized classrooms in the school after school hours. Thus, both the teachers and the parents of the children had the opportunity to be present to see the whole process of creating the miniature computers live. Each child received an individual Tinusaur Kids.Micro kit with circuit boards and electronic components worth BGN 50, and the symbolic participation fee was BGN 5.

The founder of Tinusaur – Neven Boyanov, helped the children and explained every single step of assembling, handling a soldering iron, and creating a program. 6 children of different ages participated in the initiative. They did not realize when almost 4 hours had passed, and at the end, they had all successfully assembled and programmed their miniature computers, which remained for them.

Thanks to the Vivacom Regional Grant and the Tinusaur Foundation, students from another small school in the Veliko Tarnovo region had the opportunity to look at subjects such as mathematics, physics, and informatics from a different angle and to understand that learning can be fun.

The workshop was held in one of the specialized classrooms in the school, and six children of different ages took part in it. We try to hold these events at a time that is convenient for both students and teachers, as well as parents so that they can also attend and see what their children are creating. Each student receives an individual Tinusaur Kids.Micro kit with circuit boards and electronic components for a total value of BGN 50, and the symbolic participation fee is BGN 5.

The founder of the Tinusaur Foundation – Mr. Neven Boyanov, personally shows the children how to do it and teaches them how to solder with a soldering iron and how to program. Quite often, the teachers are also involved in the activities, as it turned out to be very interesting for them as well. Time passes imperceptibly, and in the end, every child can show they have successfully created their own mini-computer. They get to keep the assembled board as a memory of this exciting experience.

STEM workshop on electronics and robotics in the village of Resen

On March 6, 2023, the second of a series of robotics and electronics workshops organized by the Tinusaur Foundation as part of the Vivacom Regional Grant project was held at “Hristo Botev” Primary School in the village of Resen, and Mr. Neven Boyanov, the founder of the foundation, personally taught and showed the children how to assemble the boards and how to program them.

STEM workshop on electronics and robotics in the village of Resen

The workshop aims to offer children an exciting experience, combining fun with learning. So they not only learn how an electric circuit works and what the functions of components such as resistors, capacitors, and LEDs are, but they can also take their first steps in programming. For them, it is an opportunity to expand their creativity and develop science, technology, engineering, and mathematics skills.

The event was held in one of the specialized classrooms in the school at a convenient time for both the students and the teachers, as they were also present and followed the events with interest, even getting actively involved and helping the students if needed. Thus, children learn to work in a team and cooperate to achieve common goals.

The school in the village of Resen is relatively small and has 87 students, but it is well-equipped and modernized enough to provide its students with quality education. The teachers are dedicated and proactive, and with the support of the director – Mrs. Daniela Dobreva, and the teacher Marina Pashova, often organize extracurricular activities and encourage children to participate in various projects.

Workshop on Electronics and Robotics in the village of Vodoley

Workshop on Electronics and Robotics in the village of Vodoley

In the village of Vodoley took place the first of a series of workshops on electronics, which the Tinusaur Foundation organized as a part of the project with Vivacom Regional Grant

The creator of Tinusaur – Neven Boyanov, visited the Primary School “Hristo Smirnenski” in the village of Vodoley, where he showed 2nd to 6th-grade pupils how to assemble circuit boards, how to use a soldering iron and how to create their first program.

During the event, many pupils were with their parents, and the founder of TinusaurNeven Boyanov, helped them and taught them to make their first steps in programming. With his help, all participants succeeded in putting together their first miniature computers, writing their first program, and following the process of creating and working on something they made.

Workshop on Electronics and Robotics in the village of Vodoley

The event occurred in one of the school’s specialized and equipped classrooms after the lessons’ end. Every participant received a free set of all necessary circuit boards worth 50 leva each.

Workshop on Electronics and Robotics in the village of Vodoley

The school students from 2nd to 6th grade followed with huge interest every step of the way to create something new and unique for them. The teachers were also present at the event, and they gave directions to the pupils since they were technically better prepared, contributing to the teamwork. As a  result, all children did great with their assigned tasks and showed what they did with pride while the assembled miniature computers were given to them as presents to remind them of this exciting experience.

Workshop on Electronics and Robotics in the village of Vodoley

The school in the village of Vodoley is relatively small, with only 44 students. Because of this, it rarely has the opportunity to take part in initiatives with companies and organizations. That’s why Tinusaur’s visit provoked many positive emotions in children and teachers alike.

Time passed imperceptibly, and the young programmers didn’t stop asking questions and following every step of the way. That’s the aim of our project with the Vivacom Regional Grant – to make students from these small, sometimes unnoticeable schools feel special, help them develop themselves, think about the future, and evoke interest in acquiring new knowledge and skills in them.

Workshop on Electronics and Robotics in the village of Vodoley

With this visit to the village of Vodoley, we started a series of such events, which we will continue to organize next year. We will be visiting 7 more schools in the region, and this project takes place thanks to Vivacom Regional Grant and our participation in their project.

Vivacom Fund Regional Grant Logo

By winning a grant, we from the Tinusaur Foundation will have the opportunity to show children how exciting Programming, Maths, and Physics can be and provoke interest in them towards new technologies and Robotics through practical tasks.
