On April 18, 2023, the sixth workshop on robotics and electronics was held in the “Hristo Smirnenski” primary school in the village of Samovodene, which the Tinusaur Foundation organized as part of the Vivacom Regional Grant project. Mr. Neven Boyanov, the founder of the foundation, personally leads the classes and helps children take their first steps in robotics and programming.
In today’s world, where technology plays an increasingly important role, it is very important for us to prepare children for the challenges of the future. This is also the great advantage of the workshops we organize – in them, we combine playing and learning, and students go through an exciting experience that combines technology with creativity and awakens their interest in science, engineering, and robotics.
The workshop was held in one of the specially equipped classrooms in the school, and both the teachers and the children’s parents had the opportunity to attend it. Each child received an individual Tinusaur Kids.Micro assembly kit worth BGN 50. Using the necessary tools and guidance from Mr. Boyanov, they all successfully assembled their mini computers and then programmed them.
The initiative of the Tinusaur Foundation and Vivacom Regional Grant enabled 6 children from the school to participate in the workshop, and the participation fee was symbolic – 5 BGN.
The school in the village of Samovodene is relatively small and has 24 students. Still, it is innovative and strives to combine traditional academic disciplines with modern teaching methods and approaches to prepare students for the challenges of the modern world. The principal – Mr. Yordan Dzhartov, with the support of the teachers, often organizes various extracurricular activities that contribute to the enrichment of students’ knowledge and experience.
Thus, the Tinusaur team, with the support of the Vivacom Regional Grant, was able to delight the children and give them an adventure in the world of robotics, charging them with motivation and confidence to develop in the world of technology.
