Workshop on robotics and programming in the village of Voditsa

On December 20th, just before Christmas, in the “Otets Paisiy” elementary school in the village of Voditsa, we organized a workshop on electronics and robotics. We delighted the children with an interesting, different, and memorable adventure in the world of technology and programming. The school in the village of Voditsa is small and has only 50 students, but thanks to the initiative and cooperation of the director, Mr. Momchil Alexandrov, we were able to make the children happy and make them feel special.

Eight students participated in the workshop, and everyone else could observe and ask questions. All participants received Tinusaur Kids.Micro sets with electronic boards and components, each worth about BGN 50 (Apr. $30), and after assembling them, they had the opportunity to learn to program them. Teachers from the school were also present at the workshop, and they showed great interest and were happy to help the children when needed.

The founder of the Tinusaur Foundation – Mr. Neven Boyanov, personally attended and helped the children in assembling, using a soldering iron, and programming the boards and thus gave the students the opportunity to show their creativity and develop skills in the field of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

All the participants successfully assembled their mini-computers, which they kept for themselves, and did not notice at all when the four hours of the workshop had passed. At the end of the day, everyone was smiling and satisfied with the work done. A completely new and interesting world opened before them, in which learning and fun go hand in hand, and everything learned is easily applicable and practically oriented.

We concluded the old year with the workshop in the village of Voditsa, and we can’t wait to continue our activities in 2024 as we already have two workshops planned, and very soon, we will inspire and motivate more students, as they are our future.
